The Chocolate Chip Cookies

 

Ingredients:
4 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1-1/2 cups salted butter, softened
1-1/4 cups brown sugar, packed
1-1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 TBS pure vanilla extract
1 (12 oz) package semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions:

1. Preheat oven to 350℉.  In a medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together and set aside.

2. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, add the butter and both sugars and mix on medium speed until light and fluffy.  Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix well. Add the flour mixture and chocolate chips and mix until the flour in incorporated.

3. Portion the cookie dough into 2-inch balls.  Set on a baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly browned (mine took 8 minutes). Transfer to a cooling rack and repeat with the remaining dough.
